It has been 10 days since we posted the precautions FAIR is taking in working to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus. There have been many changes in our communities and lives in those days – this is what’s happening at FAIR:
Most of our services are still available through phone and email or Zoom contact. These include Family Advancement, Child Care Resource and Referral (CCRR), Community Based Victim Services, Advocacy Program, Mental Health and Substance Use Support, Transition House and the Crisis Line. You can get more information about how to connect by calling us at 250-364-2326.
We have added the social distancing protocol to the enhanced cleaning and hand washing practices. Staff schedules have been adjusted to have fewer people in our buildings at one time.
Groups have been cancelled until further notice including:
- Building Beautiful Babies
- Muffins and Munchkins
- Women’s Tuesday Drop In
- Mental Health Family Support Group
- CCRR Friday Playgroup
- Strong Start (Fruitvale Elementary School)
- COINS’ Family Gathering
- COINS’ Healing Talking Circle
We strive to find creative ways to provide support for the many unique needs this crisis has created as well as for the other issues that continue to impact peoples’ lives despite an active pandemic.
The staff, volunteers, management and contractors at FAIR are working to promote everyone’s health and wellness. We wish you the best of health and security.
