FAIR relies on community support!

The Trail Family and Individual Resource Society is a Registered Charity funded by Provincial and Federal Government, The United Way, and Community & Private Donations.  We rely on community support to assist us in supporting families in our communities.

We Appreciate Your Donations!

FAIR is a non-profit Charity, fully registered with the Canada Revenue Agency, and are happy to issue Tax receipts for any monetary donation over $10.  If you would like your gift to go directly to a specific program, just let us know.

We appreciate your financial donations, which can be made in several ways:
~Directly to our office main office by cash or cheque. Please make cheques payable to "Trail FAIR Society".
~Through the United Way of Greater Trail.  If making a United Way contribution you may specify "Trail FAIR Society" as the recipient.

~Donate Now Through CanadaHelps.org!Through Canada Helps.org, a secure, well-respected on-line donation site.  Click on the blue "Donate Now" button to be taken directly to our Canada Helps page

Donations of Goods:
Due to lack of storage space, we are unable to accept donated goods such as clothing, toys, furniture or household items, except for the following specific items:
~ single sized bedding, towels, dishes, cutlery and pots & pans in excellent condition
~ unopened small packages of laudry soap, toilet paper, tissues and paper towel
~ fresh food items such as meat, cheese, eggs, milk, fresh fruit and veggies in single-person or small-family sized packages
These are made available to families in need through our Food Cupboard, and are welcome, practical additions to our Christmas Hampers. Please;contact the NovaVita Second Stage Housing for delivery instructions.

~ Diapers and Baby food/formula which is NOT expired: These are made available through our Pregnancy Outreach program and may be dropped of at our Main office

~ Cell Phones: Newer units are re-distributed as emergency phones to at-risk people in the community. Older units are sent to a recycler who recovers various components and sends us the proceeds as a fundraiser. Phones can be dropped off at our Main Office office, or if you have quantities we are happy to come pick them up!

Websites for recent donors include:
The Osprey Foundation http://www.ospreycommunityfoundation.ca/ who donate to our Dental Access Fund
The Columbia Basin Trust http://www.cbt.org/main/default.asp who helped us renovate our new Office location
