CCRRs province-wide have a wonderful website with lots of general information for parents and childcare providers.  Click here www.childcarechoices.ca to go to their page.

Devastating cuts to Early Childhood Programs will have serious impacts on all communities, and as it stands now, will mean huge cuts to all 55 CCRRs in the Province, as well as many other meaningful programs and services.  For background information on this Canada-wide emergency, the Code Blue for Childcare website has some excellent materials.  For a BC perspective, the BC Childcare Advocacy Forum has some great numbers to demonstrate how far we lag behind on childcare spending.

Exciting News!  Families in BC received a huge boost recently when the Trail and Prince George Chambers of Commerce presented an inportant Childcare resolution to the BC Chamber of Commerce Annual General Meeting in May of 2007.  This resolution pointed out that childcare is no longer just a social issue, but an inportant factor in the economy of our Province. This resolution passed unanimously at the AGM, and brought Childcare Issues directly to the business community.  See the entire resolution here.

This program is funded by the Province of BC and community contributions.
