Parent Education and Pre-School Group
Our Mission:
We will support the parent-child relationship by providing a flexible
and respectful learning environment for parents and children through
focused TV observation of children at play.
What We Are About:
Parents participate in a weekly 2-hour education program while observing
their children in a concurrent preschool program.
Parents:
- observe their child at play using closed-circuit TV
- participate in educational activities (discussion, guest speakers, exercises and observation)
Children:
- participate in a weekly semi-structured 2 hour pre-school session.
Activities include:
- structured and free play
- art activities
- circle time
- field trips
and much more...
- the role of parent is important
- parents can support each other
- better understanding of our child leads to better parenting
- children need socialization and play with each other
Sessions:
Groups run Wednesdays, and families may register for either the 9-11 am or 1-3pm set
For information on when the next program starts, check our Important Dates page. Call the FAIR main office to register your child or ask questions about the program.
Funded by the Ministry For Children and Families and community contributions.
