| Description: | A day program of social activities and health services including a hot lunch meal for people living at home who would benefit from these activities in a group setting. Referrals to Adult Day programs must come from the local Home and Community Care staff. Designed to maintain and / or improve the client's social skills and physical and mental health so they will be able to remain in the community for as long as it is physically, socially and economically feasible to do so and as an alternative to residential placement. To provide respite services that offer choices for caregivers, are a cost effective alternative to in-home respite care and will maintain a safe supervised setting for assistance. Takes place at the Broader Horizons Adult Day Care Centre: 250-352-1441.
