Adult Literacy - Castlegar Area

Adult Literacy Coordinator for the Castlegar area is Margaret Sutherland.

Programs currently include:

• Adult Tutoring Program: One-on-one and group instruction for adults wishing to improve their reading, writing, math and computer literacy skills.
• English as a Second Language (ESL) Classes: Offers individuals seeking to improve and enhance their English language development, both oral and written. One-on-one or group based instruction.
• ESL Conversation Club Offers English as a Second Language learners an opportunity to improve their oral, written and electronic communication skills.
• Computer Literacy for Seniors: Offers seniors an opportunity to improve their computer skills, including word processing, file management, formatting text, creating tables, email and using the internet.
• Tools for the Trades: Construction union members improve report writing, test taking and computer skills.
