Description:Castlegar (250-365-7292) and Grand Forks (250-442-2704) Campuses:
  • Available to students whose academic, social, emotional and / or cognitive skills and abilities require personal support and assistance in order for them to actively participate in a college setting.
  • An educational plan is developed with each student and whenever possible, students are integrated into regular classes which develop academic, personal and social skills in a cooperative learning environment.
  • Provides students with training in Math / English upgrading, work place skills, independent living skills, self-advocacy skills, personal management skills and introductory computer skills.

Silver King, Nelson Campus (250-352-6601):

  • Program which is based on Individual Education Plans and emphasizes social skills and support network development.
  • Designed to meet the needs of adults with mental disabilities, but is also open to adults with special needs who have a need for this type of training.

Trail Campus (250-368-5236):

  • Provides an opportunity for special needs students to learn entry level skills for the food service industry.
  • Includes life skills development, academic upgrading, vocational skills and attitude development.
  • Students make and serve breakfast and lunch in the Seniors' Centre in the Greater Trail Community Centre.
