About Trail FAIR Society

Trail Family and Individual Resource Centre (Trail F.A.I.R Society) has been offering free, confidential, professional services for members of the community since 1977.  We are a non-profit agency and a fully registered Charity.  We are proud to offer 18 different programs from 5 separate service locations

Here's what's new:

~Our Main office on Columbia Ave has new hours: Monday-Thursday 9am to 5pm, CLOSED Fridays, unless you have a pre-arranged appointment.

~Horray to our Childcare Resource and Referral Program!  They recently celebrated 20years of providing information and resources to the Trail and Castlegar areas.  Click check out the Trail Times coverage of the event here: http://www.bclocalnews.com/kootenay_rockies/traildailytimes/news/132201733.html 

~We have a NEW drop-in parent's program Tuesdays from 10-11:30am at the former Trail Middle school. 

~The popular CORE for Parents  FREE preschool program will start again in late Sept with a new name and a new day - Bright Beginnings, which will be held on Tuesdays.  Same fabulous cirriculum, same energetic staff, same location. Spaces fill up fast.  Contact Doris for more info. 

~Now in it's third year, The Woman's Drop-in at the "Little House" is getting bigger and better.  Drop in to the littlehouse beside Star Grocery on Rossland Ave any Tuesday between 1 and 3pm for: coffee... conversation... clothing swap...and more! 

~The Monday Morning Playgroup and StrongStart Early Learning programs are back in full swing.  Check out their pages for times, days & locations.

~The Building Beautiful Babies Pregnancy Outreach program is also back to meeting at the former Trail Middle School.  Check back soon & look for a schedule of guest speakers on our Important Dates page.

~ Many thanks to Brittney Hansen - our "Boys Connect" Research Project Summer Student 2011.  Brittney spent the summer connecting with youth, families, service providers, community groups and others to gather info on activities for boys aged 7-14 in the Greater Trail region for Phase 1 of the "Helping Boys Become Healthy Men" project.  Check out the Community and Youth surveys, which may still be filled in and sent back as in preparation for Phase 2 of this project, which will commence in September 2011.  Click Here for more info on this regional initiative.

~FAIR was recently presented the Trail 2011 Family Friendly Employer award by the Success by 6 Committee!  Thanks to all our employees to nominated our agency!
